Patch 3.3.0 is currently on the test realm (AKA the "PTR") and its release notes can be read at WoWWiki:

Be sure to check out the undocumented changes link in the box at the right on that page to see things not in the official notes.
Some notable changes:
- Two new 5-man dungeons are added.
- Low-level spells are being adjusted to use less mana (important for alts).
- A new quest management feature is planned but not yet available on the PTR.
- A new weekly raid quest that awards an [Emblem of Frost] is added, requiring that one kill mobs from different raid dungeons each week.
- The loot greed/need dialog now includes a "disenchant" option.
- Enhancements are being made to the LFG tool, and 3 achievements are added to encourage its use.

When arriving in Dalaran, do not do the quest Learning to Leave and Return: the Magical Way. Also, avoid turning in the quest The Magical Kingdom of Dalaran.
The first quest in the chain is offered by mages from around Northrend and provides a convenient way to get to Dalaran at level 74 and above. You can hearth at any inn and use this quest to quickly get to the city. If you complete either quest, the first quest becomes unavailable, and you lose access to this convenient shortcut across the continent.
So if someone portals you to Dalaran, don't do the quest in the room with the floating stone triangle! You'll be forgoing a great traveling convenience.

The latest email scam follows quickly on the heels of Blizzard's announcement of a new expansion. Players are reporting receiving emails offering signups to beta test the expansion. These are not real. Blizzard will announce any beta on its website. See this blue sticky in the official forums for information about what to do if you receive a scam email.

I got a mysterious item in the mail, The Mischief Maker. Apparently the day before I'd been sheeped somewhere in Dalaran by a gnome NPC named Minigob Manabonk. After this happens, one gets a single-use wand in the mail that can be used on friendly targets anywhere in Dalaran. Seems like a good thing to use on someone blocking a mailbox or the flightmaster with their mount.
